Poem - The Houses

Second poem that I wrote:

The houses
Prim little houses all in a straight
Line, surrounded by straight picket fences.
Creamish off white walls
Cannot disguise the unkempt
Foliage. The garden's greenery is messy
And has been left to grow.
Sad. It's how I feel.
Neglect runs rampant.
The owner could buy a pretty house
But not keep the garden neat.
It seems wrong
But perhaps it's the other way around.
Maybe it's the garden that's beautiful
And the houses are
The ugly ones.
